  1. Mainnet OM Information

Legacy tokens to mainnet staking tokens

Part of this 1.7B token supply is a 1:1 mirror of existing supply of legacy tokens, 888M OM. This 888M OM was minted at Genesis into the custody of the our one-way bridge from EVM to mainnet. This bridge only releases mainnet staking coins when a MANTRA/EVM linked wallet address, successfully deposits legacy tokens into the bridge deposit address.

  1. The bridge is designed to ensure that legacy tokens can be upgraded to mainnet staking coins while maintaining an accurate circulating supply.

  2. The bridge can only release tokens IF the depositor has linked their EVM and MANTRA wallet addresses. If this registration has not happened, then the tokens will not be released on Mainnet.

  3. As tokens are bridged across to mainnet, the API used to report circulating supply will ALWAYS equal 888M

  4. Transactions under 30,000 tokens will be released immediately on mainnet. Transactions over 30,000 are subject to manual processing.

We realise that bridging tokens is a multi-year exercise and once all 888M legacy tokens have been moved to mainnet, the legacy tokens will be burnt, leaving only mainnet staking coins going forward.

You can find more information on the bridge here.
